Tim Brekke

Tim Brekke

Licensed Funeral Director/Manager

Tim was born and raised in Neillsville, the son of Corrine Brekke and the late Dr. Eugene Brekke. He graduated from Neillsville High School and attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mortuary science. Tim and his wife, Lynn, (Szaflarski) have four wonderful children, Eric, Brooke, Anna and Emily.


Tim began his career in funeral service in Hayward, Wisconsin, at the Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home in 1993. Shortly after, in 1996, Tim returned home and has managed the Gesche Funeral Home since.


As Tim states, “It is an honor and a privilege to serve the people that I have grown up knowing all my life. I find it very rewarding to be able to help families through a very difficult time in their lives”.

Lori Pekol

Lori Pekol

Licensed Advance Funeral Planner

Lori Pekol was also born and raised in Neillsville, the daughter of Nancy Hubing-Regner and the late Adrian Hubing. Lori graduated from Neillsville High School in 1985 and married Daniel Pekol, a civil engineer for a local bridge building company. They have four children, Jennifer, Joshua, Jayme and Julianne.


In August of 2000, Lori’s career with the Gesche Funeral Home began. Although she has served families in many capacities such as administrative assistant, pre-arrangement specialist, and funeral assistant, Lori now focuses solely on helping families plan their final wishes. Lori is licensed with the state of Wisconsin as a life insurance agent, and she also has the Wisconsin Funeral Director’s Examining Board Certification.


As Lori states, “I love working with the families of Neillsville and have found my job to be much more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.”

Lowell R. Gesche

Lowell R. Gesche

Licensed Funeral Director

Lowell R. Gesche was born in Elmwood, Wisconsin, to Elmer and Louise Gesche. After graduating from Elmwood Area High School, he attended UW-River Falls for two years and then the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in Milwaukee for twelve months, obtaining a license in Embalming and as a Funeral Director for the State of Wisconsin and the National Board of Funeral Directors.


In September of 1963, Lowell came to Neillsville and was employed at the Georgas Funeral Home (which was owned by Elmer and Edna Georgas), until he purchased the funeral home in 1975.


Lowell and his former wife, Janet (Skibinski), have three wonderful daughters, Julie, Lisa and Susan, and four beautiful grandchildren, Alexandra, Madison, Devin and Carson.


Lowell lives in Neillsville with Jana Lee Marden, his best friend and soulmate of 28 years, and continues to serve families in need at the funeral home.
