Tracy Floyd Heck, of Greenwood, WI, passed away peacefully at home with family on July 16, 2025. Tracy was born on May 19, 1942, the son of Floyd and Harriet (Feirn) Heck in Neillsville. He attended elementary school at the Mound School in Christie and then graduated from Neillsville High School in 1961.
Tracy then went to work with his favorite uncle Erv for a few years hauling cattle to Milwaukee and back to Greenwood. He was drafted along with his brothers, Harvey and Sheldon, into the US Army National Guards and was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood for 6 years. He was honorably discharged in June 1969. He came back to work at Pathfinder and then onto Wick Building Systems for 20 years before continuing on his family legacy of farming. While working at Wick, he met the love of his life or better known as "Wife or Woman" in his words, Kay Schultz. They were married on November 10, 1973 in Greenwood, WI and had 2 sons, Heath in 1974 and Craig in 1977.
In 1980, Tracy and Kay purchased a neighboring farm and continued farming for 32 years side by side. It was his greatest love and passion to be able to come back to his roots. He enjoyed driving tractor and being able to do field work even after passing on the farm to their son Craig. In his retirement you could find him "occasionally" watching TV to know the weather, listening to his country music, feeding the cats, or taking a nap in the Gator down in the pasture. For the past 5 years he enjoyed going on almost daily drives to alternate McDonald's locations for lunch to enjoy the countryside.
Tracy is survived by his wife/woman of 51 years, Kay and the joys of his life: his son Craig (Stephanie) Heck, and grandchildren: Max, Brynn, Kalvin, and Sophie. He is further survived by his brother Harvey (Linda) Heck, mother-in-law Betty Schultz, brother-in-laws: Aaron (Lori) Bloch and Tim Schultz, sister-in-laws: Karalee (Don) Lamon, Karen (Barry) Dunlap, and Tammy Hribar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his other joy, his son Heath Heck, his parents Floyd and Harriet Heck, his father-in-law Donald Schultz, his brother Sheldon Heck, his sister Judy Bloch, his niece Heather Bloch, and his great nephew Dylan Bloch.
Funeral services for Tracy will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, WI with visitation before starting at 9:00 a.m. until the service.
