Tennille Maria Thomas, age 43, of Granton, WI died Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm Monday, March 23 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday morning at the church.

Pallbearers will be Lance Thomas, Jared Thomas, Glen Thomas, Steve Thomas, Clint Langreck and Steve Canfield.

Tennille Maria Davel was born on August 11th, 1976 in Neillsville, WI to Robert (Heidi) Davel and Mary Lee (Mike) Leonard. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1994. Throughout high school, Tennille was known for being an excellent distance runner in Cross Country and Track and Field as well as for her love of horticulture.  Tennille was united in marriage to Wayne Thomas on March 18th, 1995 and they made their home in Granton, WI. In the following 25 years together Wayne and Tennille had 12 children. Tennille was a wonderful mother and devoted herself to taking care of her family. Tennille and Wayne welcomed their 12th child, Mark, on March 17th.  In the efforts of delivery, Tennille passed away due to complications.

Tennille was a faithful and devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.  She loved to pray and sing church hymns. Tennille was very devoted to praying the rosary and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a gifted gardener and seamstress.  Tennille was her children’s most enthusiastic cheerleader at all of their athletic and extracurricular activities.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne, ten children, Lance, Cheyenne, Jared, Dolorosa, Faustina, Perpetua, Angeline, Gibeon, Rocky and Mark all of Granton, WI, her parents, Robert (Heidi) Davel of Willard, WI and Mary Lee (Mike) Leonard of Spencer, WI and a sister, Heather (Clint) Langreck of Mineral Point, WI. 

Tennille was preceded by her grandfathers, Jerome Davel and Lee Miller, and two sons, Ethan, who died at birth, and Simeon due to miscarriage.
