Rosemary McBride, 76, of Neillsville, was taken home to be with her Lord & Savior on Dec 3, 2020 after battling pancreatic cancer.

Rosemary Elmhorst was born on March 6, 1944 in a farmhouse near Chili, WI the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Daniels) Elmhorst.  Her family moved shortly after to the current homestead that brother James lives on called Peaceful Pines.  When she was 11 years old she met Betty Clover at Riverside Bible Camp with whom she continued a friendship of over 65 years.  Rosemary’s dad, Henry, hosted a radio program on WCCN and Rosemary often sang for that show.  At the age of 16, she spent a year in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada where she met Agnes and continued to write to her for over 60 years.  In 1962, when she was 18 she met and married Ronald McBride of Loyal at the Greenwood Baptist Church. They continued to live in and around the Granton and Neillsville area.

Rosemary will be remembered for many things, her flowers, Christmas baking, reading, many hours of mending clothing for people and her rose and angel collections.  Every month she decorated the apartment with a different theme and loved singing and playing the piano and sending out the beautiful cards that Rachel made for her to send out every month.

Rosemary was a member of Living Hope Evangelical Free Church and a volunteer with Sunshine Friends at the Neillsville Care and Rehab.

She always said she wanted to live long enough to see her children grow up and she did, plus 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren of which one was born on her birthday.

She is survived by her children, Rachel McBride of Neillsville and Sam (Lisa) McBride of Elk Mound, WI, a granddaughter, Brittney (Michael) Bump of Marshfield 2 great grandchildren, Savannah and Roman Bump and 12 foster children.  She is further survived by siblings, Dick (Joan) Elmhorst of Rudolph, Roy (Sue) Elmhorst of Iola, Bill (Virginia) Elmhorst of Neillsville, Mike (Evangeline) Elmhorst of Paynesville, Andy Elmhorst of Wisconsin Rapids, Judy Hineline of Loyal, Paul Elmhorst Sr. of Whitehall, James Elmhorst of Neillsville, sisters-in-law, Joel Elmhorst of Neillsville and Shirley McBride of Marshalltown Iowa and her special friends, Betty Clower of Ft.
