Michael Benjamin Schinabeck, Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Michael was born on March 2, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to George and Ruth Schinabeck. He grew up in Milwaukee alongside his sisters, Georgiann Mary Cornelius and Elizabeth Mary Tuuri.
A proud Navy veteran, Michael achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class, applying his skills and dedication as an Electronics Technician around the world while serving on U.S. nuclear submarines. After his military service, he continued to pursue his passion for electronics and worked on everything from medical equipment and printing presses to gaming devices. Professionally he was known for his ability to diagnosis and repair anything that was put in front of him.
Michael was a man of quiet strength, known for his thoughtfulness, patience, and unwavering intention in everything he did. Michael cared for the wellbeing of everyone and everything around him, which included making sure all the neighborhood animals had a second home. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and remained a source of comfort and support to those around him. Above all, he was a devoted father and a kind friend, deeply loved by many.
He is survived by his children, Mary Heather Schinabeck and Michael Benjamin Schinabeck, Jr. and the mother of his children, Robyn Ann Schinabeck; and his sisters, Georgiann Mary Cornelius and Elizabeth Mary Tuuri.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at 2:00 PM at Dells Dam Cemetery in Neillsville, Wisconsin, where family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate his life.
