Marlene (Aldinger) Dayton 91 of Neillsville, Wi died Saturday June 17, 2023 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI.

 

Marlene (Aldinger) Dayton was born May 30, 1932 in Township of Avon to Edwin and Pearl (Rush) Aldinger Was raised on a farm by Merrillan, Wisconsin. She went to school for 8 years in Houghtonburg. She went to High School in Alma Center. After she got out of high school. She worked as a house cleaner and babysitter. She married Earl Dayton on July 2, 1955 at the United Methodist Church in Neillsville, Wisconsin. She had 4 boys Rick, Jeff, Mark, Dennis. She stayed home and raised them. When they got older, she started working again as a babysitter. Marlene is survived by 4 sons, Rick (Rita), Jeff, Mark (Jackie), Dennis (Lisa) and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and a bunch of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl of 67 Years. Parents, Edwin & Pearl (Rush) Aldinger. Sisters, Emma Arndt, Eileen Burlingame and Iva Kubaskie and brother, Harold Aldinger. Brother-in-laws, Bill Arndt, Ed Kubaskie and Dale Burlingame and sister-in-law, Evelyn Aldinger and daughter-in-law, Colleen and nieces, Tami Muenkel and Geraldine Johnson.

 

She is to be buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery. No funeral as requested by Marlene.

The family would like to thank the House of the Dove for taking such good care of her and all the wonderful nurses and for hospice workers that came to the house and at the House of the Dove.
