Kenneth "Kenny" Goetz passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the House of Dove in Marshfield at the age of 92.
Kenny grew up on a farm in rural Loyal (Heintown). Kenny served in the Armed Services in Germany. He worked at Schlinsog Dairy, hauled milk, worked for Parkin's Ice Cream in Marshfield and Grassland Feeder Pig Company, delivered mobile homes for Wick Homes, and eventually built his own business, Goetz Excavators. No matter the job, Kenny was known as a dependable, honest, hardworking man who took pride in doing things right.
Kenny enjoyed playing cards, hunting, and traveling throughout the United States, Alaska and Canada with his wife Jean. In his later years, Kenny enjoyed gathering with friends for coffee and conversation. Whether sharing stories around the table or offering advice when it was needed most, he treasured time spent with family and friends.
He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful role model for them and family will forever cherish the memories, wisdom, laughter, and love he shared so generously throughout his life.
Kenny is survived by his wife Jean, married for 67 years. He is also survived by a daughter Lynette (George) Hart and a son Bradley Goetz. Further survived by his 6 grandchildren Kevin (Jessi) Hart, Brian Hart, Kaila Goetz, April (Chris) Onsager, Courtney (Ian) Pierce, Chelsey (Jake) North; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law Gale Minsaas; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Romie and Della Goetz, his sister Arlene Marslender, daughter-in-law Carla Goetz, and many other other relatives.
