Joseph Sikora was mercifully called into the arms of his heavenly father in the early morning hours of July 3rd, 2025.

Joseph Victor Sikora was born on May 12th, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Catherine Sikora. During his early childhood years, Joe and his siblings John, Martha, Monica, and Tony lived in Pleasantville and Whitehall before eventually settling down in Neillsville in 1973. Joe attended and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1980. While finishing high school, Joe began his career at Nelson Muffler, which eventually became Cummins Filtration, where he proudly worked for 45 years. Throughout the past nearly two years of working every single day to get back on his feet, Joe had a goal and was determined to get back to work again with so many of his closest friends and retire on his own terms. When not working in the factory, Joe would still be working with his other full-time career of cleaning homes, businesses, and vehicles all around Neillsville and surrounding towns. With his first business JED'S Cleaning, short for Joe, Elliot, and Derek Sikora Cleaning, and more recently running all over in his big red van proudly displaying his Corner to Corner Cleaning logo and spreading his slogan of "We don't cut corners, we clean them!" in his many radio commercials recorded at WCCN, Joe was known far and wide for his great work and one of a kind personality.

Along with working seemingly around the clock for his entire life, Joe was an incredible father and role model to his sons, Elliot and Derek. Every free minute for Joe was spent coaching the boys' sports teams, finding something with four wheels for the three of them to race around on, taking annual trips to Wisconsin Dells and looking the other way when the boys wore their baseball cleats to make themselves taller to get on the go-karts and other rides, and never missing a sporting event or other important day for the boys even into their adult lives. Joe also took incredible pride in his grandchildren and made the trips to spend time with them with any free time he could find. Papa Joe was known to tell anyone who would listen about Kendall, Emmy, Sawyer, Ari, and Brynley and how incredibly blessed he was to have his grandchildren in his life.

Joe will be remembered by so many for what can only be described as "being Joe." Anyone who was fortunate to know Joe has heard what was quite possibly the most infectious, contagious laugh that has ever been. Joe could always be found with a smile on his face and making the day better for anyone around him. Be it through the crazy commercials on the radio, quick wise cracks and sarcasm that made sure a serious conversation nearly impossible, or a wave and yell out the car window while driving through town, the stories of Joe Sikora will carry on for many years going forward.

In addition to the character so many will remember, Joe's kindness, generosity, and neighborly caring and love knew no boundaries. Joe received the most joy in his life by serving others and bringing happiness in any way possible. Very often Joe had very little for himself, but he was happy to go without to make sure someone else had enough. The countless things Joe did through the years, without being asked and with no expectation for recognition or repayment, impacted more lives than he could have ever known. Whether it was opening his home for someone having a hard time and needing a place to catch up on life, working weekends and holidays at the factory so others who had young families of their own could spend time together, bringing groceries to coworkers and others around town who he knew needed a little help, or endless other acts of selflessness, Joe lived his life to make the lives of others better. Even in his toughest days more recently, the stories of Joe always finding a way to put a smile on the face of anyone he crossed paths with have been abundant.

Joseph is survived by his two sons Elliot (Ashley) Sikora in Minnetrista, MN and Derek (Keely) Sikora in Cologne, MN; his five grandchildren Kendall, Emerson, Sawyer, Arianna, and Brynley; and his siblings John (Stephanie) Sikora, Martha (Rick) Opelt, Monica Mohan, and Tony Sikora. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Sikora.

The wake will be held on Tuesday July 15th, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm, with a eulogy by his boys at 6:30 and a rosary at 6:45 at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI. There will be a social gathering following the wake from 7pm to roughly 10pm at the American Legion Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to join to share stories and celebrate Joe's life. There will be light snacks provided.

On Wednesday July 16th, 2025 Joe will be laid to rest in eternal peace at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, WI. There will be an opportunity for visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am and the funeral service will begin at 10:30am. The committal will immediately follow at St. Mary Catholic Church.
