Joseph Dwayne Felser

October 7, 1953 — April 3, 2026

Joseph "Joe" Dwayne Felser passed away peacefully early Friday morning, April 3, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Neillsville, with his wife, Margie, and daughters, Candy and Sarah, at his side.

Joe was born on October 7, 1953, in Neillsville, Wisconsin, to Dwayne and Annette (Erfurth) Felser. He graduated from Neillsville High School in 1972. During his high school years, he worked detailing cars at Gross Motors. After graduation, he began his career driving dump truck for Plautz Bros., later working as a mechanic at Svetlik Ford.

On January 26, 1974, Joe was united in marriage to Marjorie A. Lautenbach. He went on to drive semi over-the-road, eventually becoming an owner/operator in the 1980s. In 1987, he began working for Mathy Construction as a dump truck driver, later working for Boon Construction, and eventually becoming a heavy equipment operator with Milestone Materials. Joe was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139.

Joe had a lifelong passion for working on cars and was especially knowledgeable about the muscle car era. He also had a deep love for rescuing dogs, particularly senior and hard-luck animals, which held a special place in his heart.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Margie, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage; his daughters, Candace "Candy" Felser and Sarah Raddeman; his grandchildren, Tanner (Nicole) Huth, Victoria Huth, and Georgiana Raddeman; his sisters, Kathy Sherman and Linda Burns; and his nephews, Dan (Arica) Burns, Ryan Burns, and Jordan (Ashley) Sherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
