Jayne Ellen Fremlin

Jayne Ellen (nee Opelt) Fremlin, age 64, of rural Neillsville, WI, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at her home following a short battle with cancer.

Jayne was born on April 16, 1962, in Neillsville, WI, the daughter of William and Janice Opelt. Her son, Brian was born on September 28, 1977. On December 17, 1999, she was united in marriage to Paul Fremlin.

Jayne worked in the bakery department at Marty's Grocery Store and was also employed at Woodstock Nursery for 20 years. In 2000, Jayne and Paul built their home south of Neillsville, where they shared many wonderful years together.

Jayne enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pool and dancing in her younger years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and their beloved dog, Layla.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Fremlin; her son, Brian (Crystal) Zager; her mother, Janice Opelt; two brothers, Mark (Debbie Huth) Opelt and Todd (Karyn Oster) Opelt; and one sister, Janay (Paul) Ziebell. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jayne was preceded in death by her father, William Opelt; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Elsie Hansen; and her paternal grandparents, Carl and Millie Opelt.

No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
