Elaine Taylor

Elaine Mary Taylor, age 79 of Boyd, WI, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 8, 2025 at her Neillsville residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Elaine Taylor was born on July 5, 1946, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Aelred H. and Ardessa M. (Belott) Ernst. She grew up in the Boyd, WI area and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1964. Later that year, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Robert Keith Taylor while he was stationed in Washington state in the Navy. Elaine went on to nursing school and became a Registered Nurse. Elaine enjoyed crocheting, needle point, arts/crafts, and faithfully attended Sunday service.

Elaine was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family and loved the time she spent with them. She was very proud to be a grandma, and was very excited to soon become a great grandmother. She thrived on social interaction and keeping up with family, friends, and acquaintances.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Engel, three grandchildren, Nicole Engel (fiancée, Brandon Pfitzenmeier), Brayden Engel, Neveah Engel, soon to be born great grandson, Kaleb Pfitzenmeier, daughter-in-law, Debbie Taylor and sister, Virginia (Tom) Miller.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Aelred and Ardessa (Belott) Ernst, her husband, Robert Taylor, her son, David Taylor, brother, Raymond Ernst, and grandsons, Justin Engel and Ryan Engel.

At Elaine's request, no funeral services are to be held. Elaine's family plans to gather for a celebration of life at a later date.
