Donald passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 94.

Donald was born on February 10, 1931 to Harold O. Wagner and Vera (Scholfield) Wagner. He was raised in Menomonie, WI and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany as a radio operator. Upon an honorable discharge, he worked in St. Paul, MN. He had a water-skiing injury in 1956 which led to extensive rehab for four years due to repeated surgeries. He returned to school in 1960, and after graduation went to work for Auto Test in Neillsville, WI as an Electronic Technician. He then changed his career direction again and became a welder for Nelson Muffler. After retiring, he chose to stay in Neillsville.

He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and was on the Finance Committee for 15 years, 12 as the Financial Secretary.

He is survived by his "honorary grandchildren", Kevin, Sandy and Leanne Mayer of Neillsville and a very good friend, Mary Sladich also of Neillsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Shirley Cook, a brother-in-law, Raleigh Cook, nieces, Vicki and Valerie Cook, a very special friend, Mabel Meske, and his beloved little pal, Roo Roo.

A graveside service for Donald will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Military Honors will be performed by the Neillsville Veteran's Council.
