Darrell Edward King

Darrell E. King, 76, of Spencer, WI, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2026, at his home.

Darrell was born October 22, 1949, in Chippewa Falls, WI, to Edward and Ruth (Zimmerman) King. He honorably served in the United States Army for two years before beginning a long and dedicated career as a Registered Nurse. His work took him throughout Wisconsin as well as Washington State, and he also resided in Oregon and Idaho.

He is survived by his brothers, Alan (Kim) King of Cadott, WI, and Lee "Louie" King of Chippewa Falls, WI; his nephews, Cory (Jenny) King, Brandon (Cheyenne) King, and Christopher (Kim) King; his sister's life partner, Jerome Dressel of Waterloo, IA; his close friends, Mike and Donna Lemke of Madison, WI; and his former wife, Kim Galstad, and her son, Tate Galstad, both of La Crosse, WI. Darrell is further survived by his faithful, four-legged companion, Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Darlene; and his brother, Roger.

In accordance with Darrell's wishes, no services will be held.
