Daniel C Luedtke

September 10, 1962 — March 29, 2026

Daniel C. Luedtke, 63, of Granton, passed away on March 29, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Daniel was born on September 10, 1962, in Neillsville, Wisconsin, to Herman and Ruby Luedtke. He attended school in Neillsville and grew up on his parents' farm, where he spent his childhood working and playing alongside his siblings-experiences that shaped his strong work ethic. Daniel was united in marriage to his beloved partner and best friend, Cheryl, on May 19, 1984. Together they built a wonderful life, raising their three children and supporting one another through every season of life.

Over the years, Daniel worked in farming, the dairy industry, and also spent time at Wausau Windows. More recently, he volunteered at the Legion in Neillsville and the food pantry in Granton. He had a talent for building furniture and enjoyed fixing cars, hunting, gardening, and tackling home repairs or renovations-especially when helping family and friends. His dogs were a constant source of joy, and anyone who knew him could see how deeply he cared for them. Above all, Daniel will be remembered for his resilience and unwavering drive to help others.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter Rebecca of Marshfield; son Justin of Granton; son Travis (Kaitlin Lee) of Spencer; and his faithful furbaby, Quinn. He is further survived by his siblings Carol Gohde, Jim Luedtke, John (Denise) Luedtke, Belinda (Darrld) Striegel, Sue (Jim) Heck, Karen (Neal) Torkelson, Debbie Holtz, and Louise (Steve) King; sister-in-law Lynn Luedtke; and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Sylvia Dayton, sisters-in-law, Julie Dayton and Vickie (Perry) Lindner and special aunt, Karen Hagen.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herman; mother, Ruby; brothers Herman, Willie, and Kurt; sister-in-law Karlene; brother-in-law Tony Gohde, father-in-law, Darryl Dayton; and his soul dog, Mandy.
