Daniel "Butch" Brandemuehl, age 77, of Neillsville, WI, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.
Butch was born on February 14, 1948, in Waukesha, WI, the son of Henry and Arlene (Wulff) Brandemuehl. He attended school in Waukesha, and then was drafted into the United States Army, and was stationed in Korea. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Thorp, WI. Butch worked at the Nelson Muffler Factory in Neillsville for 33 years.
Butch was admired for his kindness and eagerness to help others. He also had a fondness for conversation. There was never a conversation he didn't enjoy. Butch also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He found true joy in their laughter, whether playing games, sharing stories around the kitchen table or taking small adventures.
He is survived by his wife Becky of 47 years, a son, Dan (Megan) Brandemuehl, two daughters, Carey (Gary) Gutenberger and Michelle (Tom) Holmgreen, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister, Faye (Roger) Kodl and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sharon, a brother, Roger and a grandson, Vance Lindemann.
A Celebration of Life for Butch will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at JD's Brickyard Pub & Grub, 203 W. 7th Street, Neillsville, WI 54456.
