Bernice Boyer

Bernice M. Boyer, 83, of Neillsville, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, with her family by her side.

She was born July 17, 1941, in Clark County to Walter and Lorraine (David) Trachte. She married Romaine "Chuck" Boyer in 1961.

Bernice worked as a teaching assistant in Neillsville Public Schools and loved spending time with children. After Chuck's passing, she moved to Marshfield and lived at Cedar Rail Apartments, where she made many new friends and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She especially loved the holidays-Christmas was her favorite-and took joy in surprising her children and grandchildren with meaningful gifts. Family gatherings were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Tracy) Boyer; grandchildren Jarod, Will, Lauren, and Emily; daughter-in-law Laura Boyer; sister Karen (Wayne) Kurth; many sisters- and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and her loyal cat, Gator.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chuck; son Craig; brothers Byron and Arnold; sister Arlene Abrahamson; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.

A private family service and burial at Pine Valley Cemetery in Neillsville will be held per Bernice's wishes.
