Barry Michael Wetterling

Barry Michael Wetterling was born on September 9^th, 1959 in Milton, Florida to Raymond and Sharon Wetterling. His love of the outdoors and mountains started as a young child. Barry always loved keeping busy with his hands and doing hard work, whether it was on a cranberry marsh, a farm, driving truck, or working on computers.

He met the love of his life, Carol Smith, at his parent’s house and they were married 8 months later, on November 10, 1979. They lived in Wisconsin for the next several years, where they had 5 wonderful children. Fulfilling his dream of living in the mountains, the family moved out to Montana, where they resided for many years before they settled back in Wisconsin.

Barry had an enormous love for his family, which motivated everything he did. He loved spending any time he could with his children, and especially his grandchildren, whether it was a quick lunch with each other or weeks together. His next love, was the mountains. Any chance he got to venture out to them, he did.

Barry passed away on November 14, 2019 and was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Wetterling, and his father, Raymond Wetterling.

   Barry is survived by his wife, Carol Wetterling of Granton, Wisconsin, his children, Taynya & Daniel Adewumni of Rochester, Minnesota, Michael Wetterling of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Brandi Buhl of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Jaclyn & Justin Whitten of Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and Logan Wetterling of Oak Grove, Kentucky, his mother, Sharon Wetterling of Bruce, Wisconsin, his sisters, Candace Darna of Bruce, Wisconsin, Renae Wetterling of Bruce, Wisconsin, Melanie Collins of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Carrie Wetterling of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and his brother Doug Wetterling of New Auburn, Wisconsin, and several beloved grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.

   He was very loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
