Alice Marian Tews, age 90, of Neillsville, WI passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire on Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born in Neillsville, WI on April 7, 1927, the daughter of Richard and Hattie (Meihack) Beyer.   After graduating from Neillsville High School in 1944, she worked for the Federal Government Assistance Office of Clark County. On September 16, 1950 she married Edgar Tews at St. John's Lutheran Church. Alice was a stay-at-home mom until 1966 when she returned to work at the Clark County Courthouse, working in the County Clerk's Office and then the County Treasurer's Office, where she held the position of Deputy County Treasurer until her retirement in 1991. In recent years she volunteered in the gift shop at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.   She and Edgar enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Her favorite times were spent at gatherings with both the Tews and Beyer families. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
