Clara St. John, age 79, of Neillsville, WI died Friday, April 01, 2011 in the Critical Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.Clara Lillian Janicki was born on February 8, 1932 in Alma Township, Jackson County, WI. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1950. On April 20, 1952 she was united in marriage to Val St. John at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pittsville, WI. They lived south of Neillsville and Clara worked at home raising their family.She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sherwood. She enjoyed visiting with friends & family, crocheting, completing puzzles of all kinds, and reading books.She is survived by two children, Karen (Joseph) Tolaney of Willard, WI and Richard (Dawn) St. John of Mooreville, NC; eight grandchildren, Christina Tolaney of Marshfield, WI, Melissa (Andy) Nielsen of Greenwood, WI, Tonia (Trevor) Wuethrich of Greenwood, WI, Larry (Cynthia) St. John of Wausau, WI, Kevin (Jana) St. John of Milwaukee, WI, Renee (Roy) Olson of Wausau, WI, Scott (Sarah) Krause of Stratford, WI, Tom (Danielle) Krause of Fenwood, WI, a sister, Regina Mays of Wylie, TX, and 14 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by husband Val, grandson Timothy Tolaney, and siblings Clemance, Wanda, Walter, Prixeda, Helen, Ted, Josie, Joe & Clementine.Funeral Service for Clara will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Tom Hahn will officiate. Music will be provided by Jodi Rueth. Interment will be in the Hatfield Cemetery in Hatfield, WI.
