Milton E. Schoenfeld "Uncle Milty"Milton Schoenfeld, age 87, of Neillsville, WI died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls, WI.Milton Emil Schoenfeld was born on May 7, 1924 the son of Emil and Mabel (Turner) Schoenfeld. He went to school in Neillsville, graduated and then joined the Army Air Corps and served for four years. After his discharge, he came back to Neillsville to farm. He was united in marriage to June Free on July 29, 1945 in Neillsville.Milt was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. He was also a member and served on the membership committee of the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post #73 in Neillsville. He loved to fish, hunt, play softball and play cards.He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Jerold) Grassman of Black River Falls, WI, two granddaughters, Jennifer Grassman and Carolyn (Ryan) Johnson and three great grandchildren, Joshua Thundercloud, Kaytlin Johnson and Nathan Johnson.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, June who died on October 4, 1993.Funeral services for Milt will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Music will be provided by Sharon Nemitz, organist. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.
