Robert Matusazk, age 78, of Neillsville, WI died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.Robert William Matuszak was born on November 3, 1932 in Chicago, IL the son of William Roman and Anna (Sierawski) Matuszak. He attended school in the Town of Washburn, Clark County, WI and Neillsville High School. Bob enlisted into the United States Army and served overseas in Korea. He was united in marriage to Rogene S. Gruenke on June 18, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. They raised their family in Milwaukee, WI and retired back to Neillsville. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, keeping his yard beautiful with flowers and green grass and working with his brother in the garden. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing.He is survived by his wife, Rogene, four children, Daniel (Julie) Matuszak of Cuba City, WI, Julie Matuszak of Ellsworth, WI, Nancy (Paul) Moran of Clarksville, TN and Christine (Jason) Buttler of Clarksville, TN, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother, John Matuszak of Neillsville, WI and one sister, Joan (Roger) Staffon of Hatfield, WI.He was preceded in death by his parents.A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. Music will be provided by Ronald Resong, organist and St. Mary's Choir. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, with Military Honors accorded by the Neillsville Veteran's Council. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, with a 6:45 p.m., Prayer Service at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
