Kay Gruber, age 51, of Neillsville, WI died Sunday, October 16, 2011 in the emergency room at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.Kay Ann Gruber was born on May 23, 1960 in Neillsville, WI the daughter of Harley and Helen (Anderson) Miller. She attended school in Neillsville and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1978. On October 10, 1987 she was united in marriage to Chris Gruber at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Kay worked as a housewife, most of her life, caring for and raising her family. She also worked at Leeson Electric from 1999 to 2005.In her spare time, Kay, enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and sewing. She enjoyed being a homemaker and she especially loved spending time with her family.She is survived by her husband, Chris, three children, Kayla (Mike Germann) Graves of Eleva, WI, Kyle Gruber of Neillsville and Kenny Gruber of Neillsville, one granddaughter, Sophia and her mother, Helen Miller of Neillsville. Kay is also survived by a brother, Rick (Kay) Buchsteiner of Neillsville, WI and five sisters, Kathleen (Waymond) Lee of Jacksonville, FL., Karen Bleecker of Huntsville, AL, Koreen Williams of Neillsville, WI, Karla (John) Koplein of Sherry, WI and Kimberly (Chris) Laufenberg of Alma Center, WI.She was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Graves, her father, Harley Miller and two brothers, Kenneth and Charles Miller.A Memorial Service for Kay will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
