David A. Garbisch, age 58, of Merrillan, WI died on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home with his wife by his side under the care of Black River Memorial Hospice.David Arnold Garbisch was born on August 6, 1953 in Granton, WI the son of Leland Delmar and Wilma Lucille (Rounds) Garbisch. He attended Granton Schools graduating in 1971. He then went to work for several years Pulping Wood and then worked for Bielke Feed Mill for many years. On February 14, 2007 he was united in marriage to Janice Hardwick in Black River Falls, WI. They moved to Jackson, TN where Dave worked for Walmart. They moved back to the Merrillan area and he became the co-curator of the Jackson County Historical Society. David loved the outdoors and nature and loved fishing and hunting. His pride and joy was his dog, Nahma. He was a member of the Triune Church of God in Black River Falls.He is survived by his wife, Janice of Merrillan, a sister, Marilyn Johnson of Bixby, OK, brother-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Marshall of Neillsville, WI, nieces and nephews, James (Autumn) Marshall, Ben (Sandra) Marshall, Naida Johnson and Jesse Johnson. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.David was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Marshall and a brother-in-law, Randall Johnson.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Charles Cavanaugh will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
