Viola I Hagedorn

Viola I. Hagedorn, age 85, of Neillsville, WI, died on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.Viola Isabelle VanKirk was born on May 10, 1927 in Arlington, Washington to Clara (Anderson) and Albert James VanKirk. When she was only a few months old her family moved to Sparta, WI and in 1939, when Viola was 12 they moved to Humbird, WI. After her education she worked at the Indian School in Neillsville, WI. On June 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to Louis Hause. Together they farmed and had 3 children. Louis died on April 2, 1967. Viola went to work for Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home as a nurse's aide where she worked for 30 years. On March 30, 1996 she was united in marriage to Louis Hagedorn. Viola loved bowling and was very proud that she had the highest score at Neillsville Care and Rehab on the Wii Bowling.She is survived by 2 children; David (Maureen) Hause of Orange Park, FL and Scott (Susan) Hause of Jacksonville, FL, 10 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by the Hagedorn Family and their spouses, many Step-Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.Viola was preceded in death by her husbands and a daughter; Penny Kernz on April 25, 1992.Funeral Services for Viola will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, WI. Pastor Bill Brown will officiate. Providing music will be Eileen Zank, organist. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI and again from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday morning prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.Casket beares will be Jerold Hagedorn, John Hagedorn, Louis Hagedorn, Bruce Hagedorn, David McDonald and Rick Thoma.Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
