Harold Springstead, age 78, of Neillsville, WI died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, WI.Harold Eugene Springstead was born on November 21, 1934 in Elmwood, WI the son of Ralph and Edith (Shelto) Springstead. Harold worked for many years at the Neillsville Foundry and as a handyman in the area, helping people with everything from lawn care to repair projects. His hobbies included gardening, carpentry and crafts.He is survived by five children, Linda Shilt of Stevens Point, WI, Carol Springstead of Buffalo, WY, Michelle Calkins of Hatfield, WI, Jeannette (David) Ellithorpe of Chippewa Falls, WI and Eugene (Nicole) Springstead of Marshall, MN, seven grandchildren, Heather, Patrick and Randy Calkins, Christian Anderson, Christopher Sanders, Carey Kanton and Brady Springstead, and six great grandchildren, Allissa, Austin, Weston, Daryll "LA", Damien and Wyatt. A graveside service for Harold will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Dells Dam Cemetery in Levis Township. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate.
