Ruth A. Kalsow, age 71, of Neillsville, WI died on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Ministry Home Care Hospice, House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI.Ruth Ann Kalsow was born on February 19, 1942 in Perry County, Missouri the daughter of Walter and Anita (Hopfer) Lohmann. On July 11, 1964 she was united in marriage to Donald M. Kalsow at the Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, MO. They lived in Globe, WI, where they farmed. Ruth also worked as a home health care provider. After Donald's death in 2010, she began volunteering at the hospital auxiliary in Neillsville. Ruth was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Globe since 1964 and was a very active member of their ladies aid.She is survived by a son, Joseph Kalsow of Neillsville, a daughter, Beverly (Duane) Theisen of Spencer, WI, a grandson, John Kalsow of Spencer, three sisters, Linda (Orville) Ehlers of Jackson, MO, Viola (Mark) Schilli of St. Mary's MO and Carolyn (Lloyd) Schoenbeck of Ellis Grove, IL, a brother, Junior (Maxine) Lohmann of Perryville, MO and a brother-in-law, Armin Mueller of Perryville, MO. Ruth is also survived by many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents and a sister; Gladys.Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m, Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Globe, WI. Pastor John Warmuth will officiate. Music will be provided by Karen Hoppa, organist. Interment will be in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
