Jeff Earl Hansen

Jeff Hansen, age 62, of Merrillan, WI died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his residence.Jeffrey Earl Hansen was born on August 4, 1952 in Sheboygan, WI the son of Wesley and Frances (Bemis) Hansen. He attended school in Watertown, and in 1968 they moved to Neillsville. Jeff graduated from Neillsville High School in 1971 and then enlisted into the United States Army. He served with the 82nd Airborne as a Paratrooper. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Neillsville and worked concrete construction with Struensee Construction. During his time with Struensee's he learned the skill of Masonry. He moved to Washington State, where he continued as a Mason, working for several unions. Jeff lived in Washington for several years until retiring and moving back to this area in 2008.In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. Jeff was independent of spirit and mind who loved his family and friends very much.He is survived by his daughter, Toni Hansen of Neillsville, five siblings, Bev (Dave) Tuescher of Fond du Lac, WI, Larry Hansen of Lexington, KY, Debra (Steve) Hartzheim of Appleton, WI, Julie (Paul) Tesmer of Fort Atkinson, WI and Sue (Troy) Jaeke of Oshkosh, WI.He was preceded in death by his Parents and a brother, Steve Hansen.A Memorial Service for Jeff will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the Neillsville Veteran's Council. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home.
