Myrna Janice Poeschel

August 7, 1933 — May 29, 2015

Myrna Janice "Gramma Honey" Poeschel, 81, died peacefully on Friday, May 29th, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She was surrounded by her loving husband and children when she drew her last breath.Myrna was born on August 7th , 1933 to Archie and Jessie "Coburn" Richardson in Arkansaw, Wisconsin. She was the seventh of nine brothers and sisters. Arkansaw was her home until she graduated high school and met the love of her life, Darrell, at a dance. After a couple years of courting they were married on July 10th , 1956 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima, Wisconsin and started their family of six kids. Neillsville became home in 1977 when they bought the old Farmers Store and opened D&M Department Store. After a few years of business they sold and she went into home child care until she retired.During her younger years Myrn was quite busy raising children while Darrell worked, but as time passed she was able to enjoy some gardening, sewing, golfing, cards, playing board games, and spending time in the kitchen. There was always a dessert on the counter. She wasn't afraid to try a new recipe but always went back to the old favorites. There were very few sporting events she didn't watch her grandchildren participate in. As age caught up with her she could be found in her chair watching a movie, reading a book, or taking a nap. Family was the most important thing in her life and she instilled many wonderful qualities to her kids and grandkids. There are a lot of Myrnisums that will bring smiles to faces for years to come.Myrna will be thought of often by her husband of 58 years Darrell and children Nick Poeschel and Spring Fleming, Marshfield, Dewey and Kory Poeschel, Neillsville; Esta and Mike Mattice, Eau Claire; Amy and Robin Harder, Neillsville; Bill and Bev Poeschel, Neillsville; and Tonya and Jerry Pfeiffer, Neillsville.
