Lois L Kieser

Lois Kieser, age 83, of Neillsville, WI died Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.Lois Lena Zimmerman was born on November 20, 1932 in Markesan, which is located in Green Lake County, Wisconsin. She was educated in rural schools and graduated from Green Lake High School in 1950. She then attended Ripon College and graduated in 1954 with a major in English and a minor in French and History. Lois worked as a teacher in Munsing, MI, Colby, WI and then Medford, WI for two years. On August 11, 1957 she was united in marriage to Frederick W. Kieser in Manchester, WI. They moved to Eau Claire, where she attended business classes at the Technical College for one year. Their first child, Douglas, was born in Eau Claire in 1960 and they moved to Neillsville in 1961. Brian, their second child, was born in 1962 and then Lois stayed at home to raise their family. In 1970, she began working at the Clark County Press. She worked there until 1977, when she went to work for the County in Judge Brennan's office. Lois retired in 1996.She was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville, and she was a member of the Candlelight Homemaker's Club. In her leisure time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and tending to her flowers.She is survived by her husband, Frederick two sons, Douglas Kieser of Minneapolis, MN and Brian (Kathryn) Kieser of Edina, MN, and one granddaughter, Zelda Grace Kieser.She was preceded in death by her parents.A Memorial Service for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville, WI. Pastor Chad Anderson will officiate. Music will be provided by Jodi Rueth, organist and the Calvary Lutheran Church Choir. Interment will be in the Markesan Cemetery in Markesan, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church.Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
