Joyce D Schmidt

Joyce D. Schmidt, age 75, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Neillsville, WI died on December 31, 2015.Joyce D. Schmidt was born on April 13, 1940 in Neillsville, WI the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Bondow) Schmidt. She attended and graduated from Granton High School. She then worked for the Neillsville Clinic for several years until she started raising veal calves. She was united in marriage to Donald Stringer, they later divorced. Joyce started a travel agency in Neillsville and ran that until 1993 when she moved to Phoenix, AZ where she worked for America West Airlines. She retired in January of 2012. Joyce is survived by a son, Timothy (Patsy) Stringer of Alaska, a special friend, Eileen Cox of Colorado, two brothers, Robert (Ruth) Schmidt of Neillsville, WI, William Schmidt of San Diego, CA. a sister, Judy (Tom) Thur of Fairchild, WI and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Tammy Backaus.A private family service will be held at a later date.Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
