Dewey Lowry, age 66, of Neillsville, WI died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his home on State Highway 95.Wilburn Dwayne Lowry was born on July 7, 1949 in Camden, TN the son of Wilburn and Hilda (Haskins) Lowry. He enlisted into the United States Marines in 1967 and served in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge in 1971 he worked as Kris Ironworks in Kenosha, WI as a fabricator, drove semi for Millis Transfer and owned the 4-n-1 in Hatfield. He was united in marriage to Susan Frye 16 years ago. Dewey was a member of the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post 73 in Neillsville, WI and the Hatfield Fire and Rescue Department. He was a major promotor of the Hatfield area and was actively involved in all the Hatfield fund raisers.He is survived by a daughter, Becky (Gene) Stenulson of Granton, WI, a son, Shon Pupuntillo, of Kenosha, WI, step-children, Amy (Mike) Hermanson of Afton, WI and David (Chris) Crawley of Beloit, WI, 11 grandchildren, Chloee, Taytor, Austin, Ethan, Isabella, Lyda, Gene, Jeremy, Nicholas, Cody and Caleb. He is also survived by his mother, Hilda Lowry of Kenosha, WI, a brother, Danny (Bobbi) Lowry of Afton, TN, a sister, Ginna Lashlee of Kenosha, WI, many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Michelle Haskins of Alma Center, WI.He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, a son, Eric, a daughter, Shelby and his father, Wilburn.A Celebration of Life of Dewey's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Deerview Bar and Grill in Hatfield, WI. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Deerview.Memorials may be directed to the family for designation at a later date.Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
