Sally was born in Milwaukee on July 12, 1945. She spent her childhood in West Allis, Wisconsin, graduating from Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee in 1963. She was a lifelong lover of reading and books, and she completed her degree in Library Science from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1989. On the farm, she raised chickens, pigs and horses and cultivated a huge garden with her family. She served as the elected Treasurer for the Town of Seif for several terms in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In the mid 1990s she met and married Dennis Kehoss, and together they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they lived until Dennis passed away in 2012. After his death she moved back to Neillsville, where she lived with her special friend, Stan Pekol until her death.
She is survived by her son, Brian Van Hine of Las Vegas, Nevada, her daughter Terri (Mark) Vollrath of Colby, her granddaughters Valerie Van Hine and Olivia Vollrath. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia "Pat" (James) Lord of Neillsville, John "Jack" (Shirley) Dwyer of Jefferson, Texas, Valentine "Val" (Margaret) Dwyer of Oconomowoc, and countless nieces and nephews across the country.
